Trinity River
The chilly water released from the Lewiston Dam into the river provides an excellent environment for aquatic insects, stoneflies and a variety of mayflies as well as juvenile steelhead and salmon. There are beautiful sea run Brown Trout in these waters and lurking nearby, adult steelhead as well. The average Trinity steelhead runs 4-8 pounds and 24-28 inches. Every year steelhead are landed that push 10-14 pounds. These fish are full of fight and prove them selves to be the notorious acrobats of fresh water, jumping, shaking and reel-blazing.

Trinity River Seasons
Peak season lasts from late October through February most years. Dress warmly if you are going to fish this river. During steelhead season snow flurries fly occasionally, however inclement weather is common to steelheaders and generally improve the fishing. Drop us a line for information on current conditions. Trinity River Guide Rates
Drift Boat Trips - Eight hours of guided fly fishing and instruction with lunch and drinks provided $625 total (1 or 2 anglers per boat)
All guided trips with us on the Trinity include rods, reels, flies, tippet, leaders any necessary tackle along with lunch and non alcoholic beverages on the water.
Note: California Fishing License, Steelhead Report Tag, transportation and gratuities not included.
Trips with Off the Hook endorsed guides include bottled, hot drink of your choice for those cold mornings and inevitable soggy afternoons. We also offer a limited supply of boots and waders available on a first come first serve basis at no additional cost!
